Anubhav Sahay, the founder of phoolophalo.com, is a graduate in commerce with a specialisation in finance and investment. He has an expansive corporate experience in consultancy and advisory services to the top management of MNCs, hence he took the responsibility of transforming his parents’ passion of gardening into a start-up. A hobby inherited to his father from his grandfather took an interesting turn with his implementation- a garden grown by his father with passion, prevailing for 40+ years was transformed into a business. Anubhav aims at using urban organic farming along with technology to spread awareness about the importance of plants and mother nature for the well-being of humans.

Mr. Manoranjan Sahay

Mr Manoranjan Sahay, M.Sc. in Botany, is a retired government employee. Inheriting his father’s passion for gardening, he has grown a beautiful garden at his home and has been taking care of it for the last 40+ years! He propagates not only common house plants and fruits but also medicinal and rare plants with very limited availability across India.

Post his retirement, Mr. Sahay took his passion further in the form of a mission to spread awareness about the need for environmental conservation in current times. He has been widely appreciated for his work in the media- renowned news channels such as News18, News Nation, ETV Bharat, newspapers including Prabhat Khabar and Dainik Bhaskar, and reputed news agencies like ANI and The Better India have featured his work.

Mrs. Rajni Sahay

Proprietor

Mrs. Rajani Sahay, English Hons., is the spouse of Mr. Manoranjan Sahay who holds a passion for landscape designing. She decorated her home with indoor plants welcoming positivity in her life and designed beautiful interiors with her creative skills. Her fluency with indoor air-purifying and mood-booster plants makes her an expert in transforming unused spaces of the house into a serene ambience of tranquillity. Besides, Mrs. Sahay also loves growing kitchen plants, fruits and spices through organic urban farming. She along with her husband has recently been devoted to the cause of nature protection.

Anubhuti Sahay, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sahay and Anubhav’s elder sister, completed her Masters in Finance from France and is currently working with a renowned E-commerce company. She observed the extensive collection of healthy plants her parents had assembled, and using her immense experience of the E-commerce domain, she recognized a business opportunity of an online nursery. Anubhuti motivated her parents and her younger brother to launch a start-up that holds huge potential and guided them along the path.

Mission of PhooloPhalo

The mission of Phoolophalo is to provide easy access to customers in all parts of India to buy healthy plants online at very affordable rates and have them delivered at their doorsteps. This way each individual can contribute to the cause of environmental conservation by becoming a plant parent.
